Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine
Dr. Baumann is a valued member of Midwest Orthopedic Specialists, where he is a practicing orthopedic surgeon since January 2002. He brings a wealth of experience to the practice, shaped by his extensive background in both military and civilian medicine. Originally from Saint Charles, Missouri, Dr. Baumann graduated from the University Missouri Kansas City- School of Medicine in 1991. He attended medical school on a scholarship from the US Army, then served on active duty for 9 years. His military practice in orthopedic surgery included assignments in San Antonio, Texas, Fort Riley, Kansas, as well as overseas to Tuzla, Bosnia. Dr. Baumann has been continuously Board-Certified since 2000. He holds additional subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine. He takes great interest in minimally invasive hand and wrist surgery as well as sports medicine and arthroscopy, shoulder and knee joint reconstruction and replacement. He also has cares for a variety of Worker's Compensation injuries.
