REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR SERVICES
KNEE REPLACEMENT
Richard Baumann, MD offers advanced knee care. Nonsurgical treatments may include a home exercise program, anti-inflammatory medications, joint injection, and other modalities. For meniscus tears and other ligament, ACL, bone fracture, and cartilage injuries of the knee, arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis.
For more severe changes of arthritis, total knee arthroplasty and partial knee replacement are available with advanced robotic arm assisted technology using
Mako SmartRobotics. With Mako SmartRobotics, a CT scan, and an individualized plan, allow accurate bone cuts for a less invasive, more predictable approach to surgery. Utilizing the robot arm assisted total knee arthroplasty allows for less pain in recovery and decreased blood loss; these and other clinical benefits have shown positive outcomes when compared to traditional techniques.
ROTATOR CUFF & SHOULDER
Comprehensive care for shoulder issues is available. Dr. Baumann's expertise includes advanced CT navigation for reverse total shoulder replacement, fracture care, and arthroscopic surgical treatment of rotator cuff tears and other injuries of the shoulder.
For rotator cuff injuries–common tears or strains in the shoulders, tendon, and muscles–treatment options vary based on severity. Minor tears may heal on their own with rest, ice, physical therapy, and anti-inflammatory medications. For more serious tears, arthroscopic surgery allows for precise repairs; damaged tendons can be trimmed or stitched. Physical therapy supports strength, recovery, and enhanced mobility, helping you return to daily activities faster.
